It’s already the teen housemates 5th week inside the Big Brother House and they started on their weekly task bright and early. “Weekly Task: Bisaya Ka Day!” aims for the Ttagalog housemates to learn a new dialect from their Visayan counterparts Gerald, Clare and Kim. By the end of each day, the teens must be able to answer questions during a quiz in Visayan. Not only should Olyn, Matt, Jamilla, Brenda and Mikee be good students but Gerald, Clare and Kim should be good teachers to them as well.
Today Big Brother told them that they should be able to answer the following questions in Visaya:
- What’s your name, age and where you are from?
- What are your likes and dislikes?
- Why you joined Pinoy Big Brother?
The housemates were all excited about the task, though as we all know learning another dialect or language does not happen over night. They enthusiastically practiced with the three Visayan housemates but of course the Tagalog housemates couldn’t help being bulol or even slang. Matt started insulting Olyn in Visaya and of course she asked Kim and Clare for help on her wise comebacks for him.
On this day they were also told of their sacrificial task, something everyone must participate in at the same time. Operation Smile is a task that would help Jamilla’s baby, Miggy get the operations he needs for his cleft lip and palate. To achieve success on this one the teens must smile all through out the day, even when they are drinking water. They can have a rest period though when Kuya plays through the house speakers the sound of laughter. The girls have an additional sacrifice by braiding their hair together and moving as one person.
The said task must be chicken feed for the girls for all of them couldn’t stop laughing and giggling. Because of this some of them worried how they will use the bathroom, which got another round of laughs. Even the boys could not help but laugh at the girls’ silliness. It’s hard moving as one when you’ve got 5 girls all with long manes!
