Yesterday, the teens got to dress up and act like kids again! Well except for Jamilla’s costume that is. Robots and dolls littered the living room, plus the housemate spoke in baby talk almost the whole day. Also the ‘kids’ got to play some of their childhood games like “Water-Ice” and Kuya’s daily task “Baboy, Bahay, Bagyo”. Of course since it was a task, the game had its consequence. The ‘burot’ or housemate who becomes the ‘it’ the most number of times will turn into the Big Brother House pig and unfortunately Joaqui after the game assumed the house pet position.
baboy05.jpgMikee read the new game rules during that rainy afternoon. “Baboy, Bahay, Bagyo” is similar to the game “Open the Basket”. The teens are made to form 3 groups made up of 3 persons. 2 would hold hands to form a circle or bahay and the other player or the baboy has to stand in the middle. The appointed ‘it’ or taya stands in the middle of the groups and has the option to shout out the words baboy, bahay, bagyo to them. Baboy would mean the player inside the bahay has to change places with the other pigs. The ‘it’ now has a chance to become a baboy himself. Declaring bahay meant the 2 players holding hands must switch with the other houses too and shouting bagyo would signal everyone to switch positions. The ‘it’ would take this opportunity to become part of a group. The last person standing outside the bahay becomes the taya.
baboy04.jpgBut the task isn’t that easy for the housemate who becomes the taya the most times will become a pig and must act like one until Big Brother says so. That person must crawl on all fours around the house and must say, “Oink, oink!” before and after speaking. If the ‘pig’ would forget to say, “Oink, oink!” he or she must lie down on his/her back until a housemate rubs his/her tummy. Uh-oh. The housemates must still imagine Kuya Kim Atienza’s pot bellied pig for no one wanted to be the pet pig of the house!
baboy03.jpgJamilla was chosen as the game’s first ‘taya’ since she was the Lola for the day. The 3 groupings are made up of Matt-Olyn-Clare, Kim-Brenda-Gerald and Fred-Joaqui-Mikee. Once Big Brother signaled the start of the game, screams and laughter erupted from the housemates as they all scrambled to find their groups. At the end of the game Joaqui was declared the kulelat and therefore should start being a pig once he dons the ‘costume’ Kuya left in the storage room.
baboy07.jpgPoor Joaqui! The housemates felt bad for him and even said knee pads should be requested for Joaqui. They even mopped the floor too. "Mahirap pa 'to sa pagiging Joan." Joaqui said. Jam shared the cotton candy reward from Big Brother to all the housemates including the oinking Joaqui.
