t was one ‘wild’ afternoon for the teen housemates as they encountered yet again another daunting daily task from Big Brother. The gang was amused to find jungle costumes in the storage room. After donning on their animal print clothes and seeing the girls looking very jurassic, the boys commented that they felt like they were part of the Flintstones.
tarzan05announce.jpg"You Jane, Me Tarzan" was Big Brother’s daily task for the housemates and he made them dress up as the classic comics and TV characters Tarzan and Jane. The rules were read by Matt to the other teens. The boys and girls must form 2 groups with 5 members each then they must manage to swing from rope to rope ala Tarzan and Jane in Big Brother’s set-up in the garden. While suspended in the air, the teens must play a game of tag where in the ‘it’ group will shout “Tarzan” if he or she touches a housemate. The tagged person must then freeze ‘til a group mate touches him or her while shouting “Jane”. The one who moves or lets go of the rope will be the next ‘it’. The loser or ‘balagoong’ will get a consequence of isang piling na saging and eat it.
tarzan06testing.jpgThe girls went “Oh no!” when they saw the ropes while the boys excitedly swung on it. Big Brother instructed them to have a practice first by swinging from rope to rope. Kuya then said that before the game proper, he would have a challenge among the teens, to see which among them would be able to swing from rope to rope and finish the entire course. The housemate who would accomplish it would receive a reward. He told the boys to go first and ordered them to do a Tarzan yell first before starting. The boys gamely obliged but soon they had a hard time doing Kuya’s dare.
tarzan02fred.jpgEach of the boys had to complete the entire course while the girls have to get 8 ropes. The boys get 3 tries each and the girls 5. Fred came short 2 ropes of Big Brother’s requirement but he tried again after giving the other male housemates a chance at the challenge. When the Perfectionist Hunk Fred encountered a difficult part of the task the other housemates cheered “Para Kay Niña!” which probably inspired him to finish the course. “Very good Fred.” was Big Brother’s comment to the teen while he got hugs and cheers from the other housemates. Would the other guys attempt to challenge Fred and beat his current record?
tarzan01brenda.jpgIt’s the girls' turn next, and Olyn bravely faced the task with the assistance of the other housemates. Kim and Brenda also followed in Olyn’s footsteps. It was screams and giggles galore during the girls' try. Hmm, maybe the girls will show the boys how the task should be done!
tarzan09gerald.jpgBut wait! Their game was interrupted by a mysterious noise in the house! The boys rush inside to find out.
